Paul Wright - Head of Uber Advertising International - Uber

Paul Wright is the Head of Uber Advertising International. He is responsible for all advertising from Uber’s Journey Ads to sponsored messaging in Uber Eats. 

Paul started his career at Sky as one of the first members of the commercial team in the UK. In over a decade at Sky he moved from TV sales into the commercial web. After leaving Sky, he led sales and marketing for a web-based sports business start up and went on to co-found a sports focussed ad network, which later sold to Sky. He subsequently held a variety of digital roles at Bauer and AOL and helped sell a pre-roll video ad business. 

Paul was appointed as the first Chief Digital Officer for OMD Group UK and then Omnicom Media Group UK. He left to join Apple’s first ad business, iAd, and ran that across international markets. Since then, Paul has been involved in a number of Adtech businesses and was part of the Sizmek leadership team which sold to Amazon in 2019 (as GM for EMEA), staying till 2022. After a short stint at Farfetch, Paul joined Uber to launch their UK&I ad business in December 2022.
